The Ft. Worth Cattlemen did just enough to nip the Echo Park Lakers, 5-4, in 10 innings. Ft. Worth pitcher Kevin Brown, in particular, had a standout performance. Ft. Worth goes to 13-19, Echo Park to 15-17.

The Cattlemen nabbed the win, in part because of pinch hitter Les Lumsden. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Lumsden.
