Stanford Logan had a good game, but he could not keep the Ft. Worth Cattlemen from falling, 6-5, to the Panama City Piranhas at The Cattle Pen. The Ft. Worth second baseman was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. The win belonged to Yura Hrustalyov in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Joe Jenkins took the loss for Ft. Worth. Jorge Marroquín got the save, the 10th for him this season.

Fred Kalkman drove in one run for Panama City. With one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Kalkman, who led the SL in on-base percentage with .422 in 2060, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ft. Worth hurler Joe Jenkins, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Piranhas a 6-5 lead.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Kalkman told the Panama City Herald.

Panama City is now 22-13, while Ft. Worth is 15-20.
