Lighthouse Win at Philadelphia, 6-2
|
Long Island first baseman Jesús Serrano helped his team beat the Philadelphia Liberty, 6-2. Serrano, who finished 2nd in the SL in home runs with 27 in 2054, went 2 for 4 for the Lighthouse. Wes Johnston closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. Long Island has now won 4 straight.
With Long Island leading 3-2 in the top of the third, Serrano hit a fastball from Tong-kyu Ko for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Lighthouse ahead, 5-2.
"I like our mindset right now," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.
