Grey Wolves Beaten By Cattlemen, 1-0

Ft. Worth got a strong outing from Kevin Brown as the Cattlemen defeated the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 1-0, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Ft. Worth's record now stands at 19-24, placing them 7th in the Silver League.
The Grey Wolves had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Cattlemen going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 34-year old left fielder Les Lumsden came to the plate. Lumsden hit a run-scoring double on a 2-1 sinker from Vancouver hurler Juan Hernández. It was Lumsden's 1st double of the year.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Ft. Worth skipper Scott Thompson.
