The Philadelphia Liberty beat the Mexico City Blue Demons, 4-3. Philadelphia pitcher and New York, native Al Ivey led the way. The Silver League-leading Liberty are 29-16.
Ni Xú, who is tied for 6th in the SL in doubles with 11, had a direct impact on the outcome. Xú contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Philadelphia up, 3-0.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Ivey.
