Vancouver third baseman Efren Alog had a 4-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the Philadelphia Liberty, 7-4. Alog picked up 2 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. Brad Carter earned the save, his 10th, for the Grey Wolves. The first-place Liberty dropped to 29-18.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Pedro Morán came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Philadelphia pitcher Marcus Rollock, he hit a 2-1 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Vancouver on top, 5-4.

Said Vancouver manager David Krause: "We squared some balls up."
