3-2 Loss Extends Vancouver Skid
|
The Echo Park Lakers picked up a win at LA Forum, downing the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 3-2. On the mound for Echo Park was left-hander Barry Davis, who played a pivotal role in the win. Francisco Aguilar recorded his 10th save for Echo Park. The Grey Wolves, at 18-31, have lost 7 straight games.
Ángel Miranda was 2 for 4 with 2 singles for Echo Park. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Miranda, who is tied for 4th in the SL in RBI with 36, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Vancouver hurler Johnny Daniels, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to give the Lakers a 1-0 lead.
