Wes Johnston, who signed a 2-year contract worth $24,000,000 on 03/05/2062, pitched well, but the Long Island Lighthouse still fell short, losing, 2-1, to the Las Vegas Flamingos at The Lighthouse. Gilberto Malfeito, the winner, is now 4-2. He struck out 4 and walked 1 over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits. Cipriano Rosas, who finished 5th in the SL in saves with 24 in 2055, nailed down the save.

Las Vegas used a well-timed hit by Matt Davis to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Tough loss," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito. "Tough one to swallow."

Las Vegas, with the win, climbs to 15-35.
