Spencer Stars as Cattlemen Top Pandas, 6-3
|
A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Lee Spencer, who is tied for 4th in the SL with a .555 slugging percentage, led the Ft. Worth Cattlemen to a win over the Montana Pandas, 6-3. With the victory, the Cattlemen record stands at 25-26.
Spencer contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Ft. Worth in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Spencer took a cutter from Roberto Becerra and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Cattlemen to leap in front, 3-2.
Spencer said his team "played with determination."
