Grey Wolves Pull Out Late Win, 9-8
Hugh Kneecorn did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Las Vegas Flamingos from being beaten, 9-8, to the Vancouver Grey Wolves at The Strip. Kneecorn went 3 for 8 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Vancouver reliever Ray Stevenson picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Javier Cuesta was saddled with the loss. At 27-26, Vancouver is in 7th place in the Silver League.

The most important at-bat for Vancouver came in the top of the 16th inning, when left fielder Steef Advocaat stroked a 2-1 fastball to left for a run-scoring single, putting Vancouver up, 9-8.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Advocaat.
