Voodoo Get Hard-Earned Win
The MSL New Orleans Voodoo and MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids played an entertaining game for MSL New Orleans Ballpark patrons.

The inspired effort of MSL Northern Virginia designated hitter Roberto Gonzáles was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the MSL New Orleans Voodoo. Gonzáles went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. MSL New Orleans reliever Yuan Chia picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Guy Pritchard absorbed the loss. Earning his 3rd save for MSL New Orleans was Gerard Johnson.

Had Colin Davidson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Davidson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Voodoo.

"Both teams played hard," said MSL New Orleans manager Bill Richmond.

The setback makes MSL Northern Virginia 8-7.
