Valdéz Spins No-Hitter

MSL Colorado Billy Goats starter José Valdéz came up big at MSL Colorado Ballpark with an exceptional 8-0 win against the MSL New Orleans Voodoo. Not only did he whip them, but Valdéz held them hitless, too.
"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Valdéz. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."
In the course of the no-hitter, Valdéz collected 6 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
This season, Valdéz has compiled a 3-2 mark with a 3.89 ERA in 6 starts.
