In a tight contest at MSL Thunder Ballpark, the MSL Toronto Thunder edged the MSL Boston Patriots by the score of 5-4. MSL Toronto right fielder Tze-meng Fen, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Joe Derby snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Craig Padilla suffered the loss. The last-place Patriots have lost 5 straight games.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Adam Paynter came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing MSL Boston pitcher Craig Padilla, he hit a 1-0 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting MSL Toronto on top, 5-4.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said MSL Toronto manager Jake Grant.
