MSL Toronto used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jorge Martínez to down the MSL Hollywood Shredders, 4-0. Martínez picked up the win for MSL Toronto, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The defeat makes MSL Hollywood 14-11.

The Shredders had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Thunder going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old center fielder William Hess came to the plate. Hess hit a solo home run on a 1-0 fastball from MSL Hollywood hurler Ramón Guzmán. It was Hess's 7th home run of the year.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said MSL Toronto skipper Jake Grant.
