The MSL Toronto Thunder welcomed the MSL Seattle Rocketeers to an night game at MSL Thunder Ballpark.

The MSL Toronto Thunder picked up a win at MSL Thunder Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Roberto Martínez played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Martínez, now 7-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. Cristóbal González finished the game for MSL Toronto and earned his 10th save.

Carlos Burgos had a big bases-clearing double for the Thunder in the bottom of the fourth inning. With MSL Toronto leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Take Markus, who is tied for 6th in the PMSL in strikeouts with 49, and swatted a double to center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunder ahead, 4-0.

"Nervous? No," said Burgos. "It was my time to shine."

The third-place Thunder hiked their record to 17-12.
