Patriots Deal MSL New Orleans 7-5 Defeat
|
The MSL Boston Patriots trumped the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, 7-5, at MSL Boston Ballpark. MSL Boston designated hitter José Oliveira was terrific. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. MSL Boston reliever Carlos Rivera snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Juan López shouldered the loss. The Patriots, at 11-19, sit in 9th place in the PL MSL.
With no one out in the bottom of the first, Rubén Morales hit a go-ahead, grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and with it the Patriots took a 4-0 lead.
Morales expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
