Ventura belts 2 home runs to Power Rainbow Mermaids Offense
|
The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids beat the MSL Buffalo White Walkers, 6-4, at MSL Buffalo Ballpark. MSL Northern Virginia designated hitter José Ventura had an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Rainbow Mermaids, at 20-12, lead by one game in their division.
With MSL Northern Virginia leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Ventura batted against MSL Buffalo pitcher Diego Trevino. Ventura hit a fastball to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 3-0.
"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Ventura.
