Billy Goats Rough Up Rocketeers, 8-3
|
Billy Goats catcher Francisco Gonzáles put his stamp on his team's 8-3 win over the MSL Seattle Rocketeers. Gonzáles slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for MSL Colorado in the contest. Román Bravo got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Ding-bong Ren nailed down the save.
With MSL Colorado leading 4-2 in the top of the sixth, Gonzáles hit a fastball from José Rodríguez for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Billy Goats ahead, 8-2.
"We came out aggressive," said Billy Goats manager Richard Haigh. "We came out swinging the bats."
MSL Colorado, now 14-18, holds down 7th place in the PL MSL.
