Morales Stars for Shredders in 4-1 Win
|
The MSL Hollywood Shredders dealt the MSL Boston Patriots a 4-1 loss at MSL Boston Ballpark. Carlos Morales, who leads the PMSL in extra base hits with 27, was the star on offense. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Ashley Kearney earned the win to go to 5-3. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, with 1 walk and 10 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. Sung-heun Kim wrapped it up, recording his 6th save.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Morales hit a 2-run home run. It thrust the Shredders into the lead, 2-0.
"I still think this team can play even better," Morales told the MSL Hollywood Citizen.
With the win, MSL Hollywood raised its record to 20-13.
