Rainbow Mermaids Down Rocketeers, 4-1
|
MSL Northern Virginia pitcher Guy Pritchard did his part in helping his team beat the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. MSL Northern Virginia reliever Guy Pritchard got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Take Markus was tagged with the loss. Ray Berard closed out the game, earning his 12th save.
The Rainbow Mermaids got an important contribution from catcher Young-jong Sok, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 4-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said MSL Northern Virginia manager Leslie Brooks.
At 22-13, the Rainbow Mermaids find themselves in first place in the PL MSL.
