Loss to Lighthouse Extends Mexico City Losing Streak
In a tight tilt between the Long Island Lighthouse and the Mexico City Blue Demons, Anthony Hines was the deciding factor. The Long Island right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Hines got the win, improving to 9-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. The losses continue to mount for Mexico City, which has now dropped 7 in a row.

The Lighthouse got an important contribution from center fielder Thulsa Doom, who in the bottom of the second punched a 1-0 curveball to left for a run-scoring double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Lighthouse ahead, 2-0.

"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Mexico City manager JJ Hoban. "It's just not paying off."
