Stingers Win Thriller, 8-7
The MSL Toledo Stingers defeated the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 8-7. Doing his part was shortstop Bruce George, who was 3-5 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. MSL Toledo reliever Romochka Vlyalko was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-3. Ray Berard took the loss for MSL Northern Virginia. MSL Toledo is now 18-19.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, George hit a fastball from Ray Berard for a run-scoring single. The Stingers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Stingers manager José Pinto.
