Gonzáles Hits 2 home runs in Billy Goats Win
|
The MSL Colorado Billy Goats handed the MSL Hollywood Shredders a loss at MSL Hollywood Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Francisco Gonzáles was one of the major contributors for MSL Colorado. In addition to his 2 singles and 2 home runs, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Román Bravo earned the win for MSL Colorado. He lasted 7 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 4-2. The 5th-place Billy Goats have won 4 in a row.
Gonzáles had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch splitter from Ellerd Zuydam, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Billy Goats a 1-0 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Gonzáles.
