MSL Philadelphia catcher Yefim Margiev had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 8-2. MSL Philadelphia pitcher Héctor Chavarría earned the win, hiking his record to 3-4. Mario Espinosa suffered the loss. The Liberty have an impressive 32-14 record.

In the bottom of the eighth, MSL Philadelphia left fielder Guillermo Vélez gave his team the lead. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bear hit his 2nd triple of the year. MSL Northern Virginia pitcher Mario Espinosa surrendered it. With that, the Liberty jumped in front, 3-2.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Vélez.
