Left-hander Naohiro Ueno mesmerized the Ft. Worth Cattlemen while leading the Echo Park Lakers to a 5-0 victory. Carlos Sandoval was credited with the save for Echo Park, his 1st of the season. Echo Park's record now stands at 38-30, placing them third in the Silver League.

Tied up with the Cattlemen in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lakers got a boost from catcher Arthur Cantrell. With a runner on 2nd, Cantrell saw a 1-1 cutter from Jeremiah Cole and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Echo Park on top, 1-0.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Ueno.
