Mexico City Rookie Star Sparkles Saturday, July 1st , 2062 Youngster Gerald Hartnell emerged as the latest United States Silver League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Mexico City deserved the honor, batting .351 with 5 home runs and 16 runs batted in. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Hartnell enjoy the limelight. Hartnell is currently hitting at a .316 pace with 6 home runs and 21 RBIs. |
