The Florida second baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Blake told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Mike Blake walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Looking at his season stats, Blake has compiled a .333 batting average and a .440 on-base percentage, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 43 runs. |
