González Shackles MSL Philadelphia
Tuesday, June 19th , 2063
Carlos González was in a mood to talk following the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids contest against the MSL Philadelphia Liberty, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Liberty, 5-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," González said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked MSL Philadelphia on a 4-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 5 strikeouts.
To date, González has a 6-0 mark in 7 starts with a 0.71 ERA. He has given up 31 hits in 50.2 innings, struck out 31 and issued 9 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .181 batting average against him.
